Fresh acrylic paint can be easily removed from objects with water, but requires special solvents when it dries. Depending on the degree of dilution with water or the fillers used (gels, pastes, adhesives), the finished acrylic painting can look like watercolor or oil images or have its own unique color rendition. The viscosity of acrylics can be reduced by using suitable fillers that maintain the integrity of the paint film. Retarders are available to slow down drying and increase processing time.
